Oh, another thing... The black plastic thing at the bottom of the windscreen on the outside is curling so it's not flat on the glass.

Thought I'd get on in on the gravy train :D

Purchased my E2 Clubsport May 2010 and had the following:
    - Broken clips on the side of the console, suspect this is being a big fella pushing the seat against the console but it's broken again.
    - Sounds like a speaker rattle coming from the rear passenger door
    - Rattling front calipers, re-work done and not a problem since
    - Keys wouldn't unlock the car, re-programmed and updated something on the car and it's been good as gold since

Someone pointed out a knocking sound yesterday, have heard it a few times before when cold but will keep an eye on it as it's due for it's first service now.

    This thread makes me sad.

Problems for me so far are.

Water leak into cabin from under fron windshield, holden replaced something, hasnt happend since, wouldnt want to lift up the passenger side carpet though I think.

Random no starting issue, Holden could'nt find the problem hasnt happend since.

Paint quality is shite, paint chips if given enough of an excuse, whole front end is chipped to sin from locasts of all thing's, bonnet protector solved this a little.

That's all to date, due for its 90,000klm service in a month or so.

My biggest problem on my MY09 SV6 has been car park dents. It seems the flared arches are too much for parking drivers, and I hace had three of the four arches dinged by anonymous drivers.

The only other problem has been an intermittent problem with a key, which was fixed under warranty by Holden replacing the key.

I took the car to just over 75,000 km before upgrading to a Series II during this week.

I was happy with the MY09, and I am very happy with the Series II already. Engine is noticably better, cluster is now readable for my ailing eyes and equipment level is improved.

Nothing major luckily. Had a scare for a few weeks where I had a burning smell come through the cabin when the engine warmed up a bit. Thought I was somehow f**king the clutch. Found out down the track some rubber had flicked up from the road and melted onto the exhaust.

    Where do i start..

first of all i purchased a brand new 2010 ve ss series 2 straight of the showroom floor was happy as a pig in poo for the first 1000kms, but from then to 8500kms ive had nothing but trouble.. Ill list everything in no particular order, its had 3 IQ systems replaced, the fuel pump replaced, injectors, the rear bumper, the balancer the passenger side door re aligned, had countless issues with the car not starting numerous amounts of interior trim only because the morons done more damage while trying to fix it, problelms with transmission and a knock coming from the rear left mind you the local holden dealer had the car for just on 4 weeks, and they still have no friggin idea..

got my SS second hand with 45k on it.... no dramas except for some minor stuff.... alternator craped out (dealer charged me almost $1,500 to replace it) Started to throw air con belts, but that was only on very harsh down shifts to first.... like from 2,000 rpm in 3rd to 6 grand in 1st, fixed after the belt was replaced. Only a few weeks ago, the washer reservoir cracked at the elbow, fixed it myself in about 30 minutes. My car is 5 years old now with almost 120k on it, no real major problems at all.
Had intermittent "check engine" faults due to 02 sensors... but that was after i put extractors on it. A tune fixed that little problem :)
Although it is interesting to read others issues..... especially those that say "will never buy another Holden" A lot depends on where and how you drive your car... i am not very kind to mine at times, so if stuff starts to go a bit awry i'm not overly concerned.
I know a guy who tossed up between an SS and an XR6 Turbo and he went for the XR6... so far he has had 3 turbos replaced, a head gasket, a power steering pump, amongst numerous other minor irritations. I haven't spoken to too many guys with XR8's but i know one guy who sold his after numerous problems with it. You get rough copies of all breeds of car..... i was always told to find out when it was made... it it came off the line on a monday or friday, ask for another one LOL

Wow this thread is such a downer . The my10 ute no issues at all did 45,000 kays in 12 months and sold it.
E1 r8 has had a batt drain issue (due to lack of driving on my part). Replaced a right hand rear wheel bearing. That's it apart from breaking aftermarket stuff. I'm actually surprised I haven't broken more because when it does get driven it cops an absolute hiding. :)

Thus far...nothing. It's only been 3 months mind you. One thing you can always guarantee with cars though, is they'll always cost money.
