ZB Calais vs Calais V vs VXR option differences?

.. my pick.. having driven all 3 is the Calais V

more grunt and better luxo features than the std Calais.
it is also far nicer to drive than the VXR.... which goes no harder
and is far more uncomfortable to drive any distance with poor seats
(think concrete park bench!) appalling brakes on the several versions
I have had this misfortune to drive (brakes are off or 100% on, no modulation)
and rock hard suspension (teeth fillings are at risk! )

I've been told that the VXR in its normal driving mode is more plush and soft than the Calais V thanks to the VXR's adaptive suspension. I've never driven either trim levels (or even sat in a ZB in general) so I don't know if it's true, but it makes sense.

I haven't driven the Calais V but I disagree about the brakes. They are very good and modulate well on the two VXRs I drove.
The suspension may be firm, but in my opinion it's on the firm side of acceptable and the active dampers do a great job giving you a compromise between sharp handling and ride comfort. I never had a problem with the seats once I adjusted them. Lengthy stints behind the wheel do not fill me with dread of seeing my dentist.
