Indeed.

Along similar lines....

One used to be able to walk from the current Perth coastline to Rottnest Island (some 20 kms away).

The Darling Scarp was once the coastline....meaning the whole of the Swan Coastal Plain (includes Perth) was once under water.

The Darling Scarp formed only 3 or 4 thousand million years after earths formation and is one of the oldest geological features on the planet. Not only has it seen sea level change, it’s witnessed continental plate changes. It was once a great mountain range.
