Sat Nav map updates

I have just heard that the latest VE map updates have just been released to dealers.
From memory the sd card on its own to purchase is $229 but when installed with a combined service its $169 ish.
Not to bad as the last update map was way expensive.

Is this the MY17 maps? I think the MY16 only came out earlier this year, but good to hear that if they are still releasing new maps!

Is if SD card only? My E1 Senator has a CD, with god knows how old maps on it.

Good to hear. Since Holden have been using "Here" maps as the supplier instead of who ever they originally used, seems there has been yearly updates

How do you go about updating the maps? Is it simply purchase the SD card from the dealer and you can do it yourself or do they need to upload for you? My 2010 SS ute still as the original sat nav maps and they are shockingly out of date...

Take old SD card out and put new one in, it takes you longer to read this then what it takes to replace the SD card.

Got an email earlier this week saying that the new map updates are out.
$165 if done at same time as service or otherwise its $229.

Yeah thats right, I don't know why this one isn't that price just buying it on its own.
Holden and it's dealers probably make more money this way I suppose.
