I thought i had better do up a thread as a tribute to my baby that i lost 3 years ago.
I bought her as a mess and bog stock off my step dad for 1500 bucks ($300 more than i paid for my 00 VT).
Took me three years to get her to the condition she was before the fateful night i drove her like a young P plater ######## straight through a fence :rip::angel::bang:

She was in pretty sad condition when I got her, only reason I had faith in her was because she had 135000 original kms and motor box and diff were perfect. Brakes steering and suspension was all shot to s#@t.
Interior was filthy but no tears or damage, body was straight except for where the previous owner hit a roo in it. Paint was sad, and a few bits of chrome were missing.

Here's another pic after all the rust was cleaned up on the rear and when the silver two tone was finished and gave the white one hell of a polish

The first two pics are when she was finally finished and on the road in all her beauty. They were back in 2008 I'm pretty sure. The third pic is from late 2009 three weeks before i wrote her off.

Driving like an idiot, where i ended was about 20m from the corner, threw her in too fast, got her out and thought I could bring her back but mounted the gutter and launched the fence. I've learnt from my mistakes (and paid for them too). It was very damaging to the wallet aswell because i didnt have insurance so i had to pay 3 grand for the fence and had a written off vl in my backyard for 12 months. I did buy a calais roller for 400 and transfer everything to build it but when i started stripping it the whole car was swiss cheese. Anywhere that it could rust it was AND BAD. But it had all been bogged up so i couldnt see it. So i sold the whole lot and stripped what was left of my white one and took the shell to the scrapyard. I'll upload a pic of my engine for my calais it was nice.
