How do I tell if my executive is live axle or IRS??

it would be very rare if it was an irs executive. i'm not sure if it was an option or not for executives but theres not many with it. i'd say it's most likely live axle. and yeah like the pictures show if the diff is one piece it's live axle, if it is just a centre with axles bolted on the outside then it's irs.

One of work's cars back in the day was an irs exec VP. No idea why - other than irs there was nothing special about it.
