There has never been any codes set or stored by the PCM, but just for kicks I put it into diagnostic mode yesterday while I was checking a VR and I noticed my VS condenser fan did not seem to be running fast enough, also the wiring next to the radiator going to the fan seemed hot too.
MAybe there is a bad earth gremlin somewhere.
Is it unusual for the condenser fan to fail in this manner?

i beleive if you turn your AC on, with the car running, the "condensor fan" as you put it, (I assume you mean the front mounted thermo fan.) will go into "HIGH SPEED" ... you could try that?

invest in a multimeter... approx $20 and you can then test your wiring to see if you have a bad earth?

Where is the earth for the fan, is it the one next to the fuse box in the engine bay?
(have multimeter already)

No voltage drop between fan, loom, chassis earth and battery so I assume no bad earth issues.

What does this part do?

It is in the loom between the thermo fan connector and engine bay connector.

When I removed it for the photo I plugged the fan straight into the loom and it connected up just fine as in there is no need for an adapter.

Maybe check the fan itself? The fan could be faulty..........

Yeah it does not sound as strong as the VR's fan.
