i keep hearing TUNE

over the past few weeks since ive had my vt ive heard people say get an exhaust, k&n filter and a tune up.
How do i get a tune up, i thought the ecu was self adjusting/non tuning

do a dyno run and get a decent dyno tune done mate, shes sure to sort a few things out, run smoother, better fuel economy, better performance too champ

yeh they do mate, they give u a full print out n review of the improvements in all areas also...go for it, costs a little but certainly makes a big difference, hence the reason some car owners "de-tune" their cars before selling them

ok, now the question everyone wnats to hear, how much roughly.
also whats the point of de-tuning

im not sure how much it costs as i gte mine done for either nothing or like $50, but hes a family friend, i know it does cost a bit though...i dont know the point in detuning a car but people do it...my mate who owns STREET FORCE in wangara, wa...has a VU ute, fully souped up, featured in STREET COMMODORE MAG is selling his ute and he has detuned it to sell...it obviously makes it cheaper for the buyer

So a Dyno Tune is different to Holden using that TECH2 machine i keep hearing about? Or is it the same thing?

A dyno tune usually involves new plugs, air & fuel filters & a quick squeeze on the dyno to see what power & afr is like.
for $50 you would just get a dyno run to check it out
Tuning the car will cost a lot more
depending on where you go & what you are after.
Re mapping (as it is also known) can cost from $300 to $2000
depending on time, mods to car & model etc.

I want the best performance keeping fuel ecconomy in mind

vx costs around $350 with basic mods of 70mm throttle body fit rollers and exhaust and KnN filter.
