Im just on a break from helping my mechanic install my rear camber kit.
What a pain in the ass.
bacause its got super lows i needed 2 sets
One for inside arm and one for outside arm.
We had to pull both control arms out to press the old bushes out.
Its not a job for the driveway

Thats why I let my local tyre fitting workshop do it too, plus they aligned it straight after. Make sure who ever does your alignment doesn't stand the tyres up too straight and forget to setup the axle endfloat or you can knock the bearings out of your diff quickly. Supposed to be 1-1.5mm freeplay from memory.

Lowering a VT (especially an S1) is not something I would recommend at all personally.

There is nothing wrong with lowering a VT1 - VX1 but due to the scrubbing issues of the inside rear tyres it needs to be addressed by installing a 4 point camber/toe kit. In the VX series 2 Holden changed the design of the IRS to lessen the bad tendancies of the toe causing the scrubbing. You can get a VX toe link kit fitted. The VX toe adjuster kit requires 2 mounts welding onto the trailing arm bar, (large one and must be removed and setup in a jig. Cost is close to $1000 plus the adjusting arms (rose joints) from holden will set you back $450 for the complete link. At the end of the day, every car that has power will 'squat' when you boot it, causing the toe to increase. Other option is find a wrecked VX2 and steal the gear out of that but you still wont end up with any change of $600 if u DIY. The parts are well sort after and dont stay long in a wrecking yard.
