I found the solution to making that LS1 sound tough and turn heads

Well after much research through your forums and much deliberation, I went about my exhaust mods. After some experimenting, cutting of pipes, trying different mufflers etc, I found the perfect combination. No annoying droning but man it screams as you give it some and roars like a v8 should.

here it is:
Pacemaker tri-y headers
2.5" catback exhaust (Standard redback system)
modified cats to suit
BUT, remove the 2 intermediate mufflers from the redback system and replace with hotdogs

So there it is . . . the perfect sounding LS1 for under $1600

If you guys tell me an easy way to record it, I will. As for running 3" from the headers, thats not much different to just having no exhaust and would be f*&&^% loud - but sound awesome. The combination i have, CAN be quiet going past cops but similarly, I have been told several times already "I didnt know holden V8's could sound that good" LOL
