I am looking @ either 17" or 18" wheel packages that Bob Jane advertises.
Looking at the "blade" wheels
www.bobjane.com.au/Specials/Wheels.asp
My current car is 2001 VX Commodore S - wheel size is 16" and tyres 225/50/16
Would this new spare tyre size fit in the spare wheel compartment in the boot?
What make and brand/model are these tyres advertised in the package?
What are the prices per tyre for a 17" and 18"?

"A range of tyres is available in each size at different prices."
That's from the website. That would be minimum price with mediocre tyres I'm assuming. Best way to do it is go down and have a look yourself, and ask about prices. Find out exactly what's what, then ask for some more advice.

I am aware about what Bob Jane was saying about the different sizes @ different prices. I am just curious what others have purchased as a wheel package

i do :p..

And mate u'll be looking at about 1100-1200 for 17s.. 1300-1400 for 18s.. Thats the cheapest wheel u can get.. Its worth spending that extra money gettin the better tyre, safer, drives and feels much better.. And dont get xenons.. Horrible in the wet lol.. Even for a V6..

For general road use, handling and looks the 18's would be the better choice but if you drive on country or secondary roads a lot then stay with the 17's.
With 18's for use on seconary roads you could also fit a 45 series tyre like they do on the VE's but this would require your speedo to be reset to the new size.
