Wagon Camber Correction Kits

I have a V8 Series 2 wagon. Recently told by mechanic that the inside edges of my wheels have been scrubbing badly.. I know this is a problem with people who lower or put big rims on commys. I got 18" rims and only dropped 1" all round.

Can anyone suggest a good camber correction kit to suit my needs. I've been quoted about 350 for a kit to fix the camber issues all round on all 4 tyres + fitting.

Can anyone suggest anything cheaper?

Camber and Caster is adjustable on the front. So you don't need a kit.
The rear on the wagons suffer from toe-in scrub. This is where the majority of your tyre wear is starting. Negative camber can also cause slight inside edge tyre wear but its not dramatic.
Removing the toe-in from the rear wheels effects stability and cornering. Unfortunately it is inherant with the suspension design and can't be adjusted.
Ask a good wheel aligner to check the rear wheel toe-in and rear suspension alignment to the chassis.

thanks for your comments and ideas. I forgot to say i also have 1" lowered king springs all round. I've been told my read shocks are also leaking so i'm getting them replaced i believe by a set of monroes so i'll enquire when I get that done this week.

These are the specifications Holden list for Rear alignment:

Wagon models

Toe ____________-0 deg. 13' to +0 deg. 10'________-0 deg. 5' to +0 deg. 18'
(deg. per wheel)

Variation (side to side) all susp types.

Camber _________ 0 deg. 35' max.

Toe____________ 0 deg. 20' max.

Hopefully you have a knowledgeable wheel aligner. Suspension workshops are probably your best bet to get proper service.

hey thanks for that. i'm sure the place i'm getting it done at will have the info. i dunno if it changes with lower ride height.


ps: I was going to buy international wagon but back then cost too much.. i love the colour.

I got a brand new camber kit for ALL IRS VS-VY its a Superpro brand, its new in box new Blue Nolathane bushes (four), plus four new bolts, grease and instructions, il send it to your door for $180.

I got it for a mates car but he wrote it off before i could fit it.
