Dash lights

Hey all.

was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get the bulbs for the air con from. i also want to change it from the standad green to red to match the instruments. any ideas?

All those globes can be bought from Holden, but be prepared to spend like ~$16
per globe, which is what i have been quoted by at least 3 dealers so far as a globe
behind my fan dials has blown, so I will eventually get around to doing a Blue conversion
on my car.

As for changing the light to red, they arent coloured as such as the guages have
a green/red backing on them which makes it light up the colour you can see. If you
want to change over to Red, you would need to scrape the green back off the
guages and solder in a LED and a resistor.

There is a good thread here, not saying that you want to change the whole dash
& cluster over, but there is good advice on how to go about what you are after.

Cheers champ. only conversion i need to do is the air con and mod buttons. have red dials so thats all sorted

Go to dick smith, buy a pack of lil 12v 5mm globes, wire them into the plastic holders from the old globes...

you know how the normal colours is green and has a plastics sleve over the globe. where can i get the sleves so i can change the globes to a red or blue for the air con and stuff?
