Sorry, but I havent got the service book so I'm not sure what they do @
the 80K - but I've been told its a big service.

Anyone know aprox. how much $ the 80K service might cost ? Do they change coolant and look at auto transmission/change transmission fluid ?

Is it better to go to a GMH dealer for the book services or can you rely on the local garage who might be cheaper ?

Thanks.

I believe it is similar to a 40,000kay service except they change tranny fluid

They do everything plus

New Spark Plugs
Change Auto Fluid + Filter
Clean Out Air Con Drain Tubes
New Fuel Filter
Check Diff Oil Level
Check And Adjust Handbrake
Holden Guideline For Coolant Change Is Every 2.5 years

Pricewise they quote 1.4hours labour for the 80,000kay service as opposed to .7 hour for a standard service, so twice the man hours plus tranny fluid + filter, spark plugs, fuel filter etc

A stab in the dark $400???

I'd just make sure your local garage does the service according to the service logbook -i.e not just a 10,000 oil change
