In "D", no power, as if in Neutral?

Had some trouble with my VT last week.

I was at the lights, i go to accelerate, no power. It wouldn't go, as if in neutral, i see that i am not in neutral.... a few seconds later with heavy pedal pushing, and then took off very sluggishly as if in a 4 cylinder .

... (got pulled over by the cops because they were behind me :bang: ), happens again when I tried to drive away, turn off engine, same problem on start up.
Then worked fine later on. No idea, haven't driven my car.. until tomorrow when I get home, before I left it, it was fine.

Any Ideas as to what that might have been? I haven't checked my transmission fluid... so is there a possibility of that? I was also on a bit less than a quarter fuel. Car drove fine the next day with low fuel... hmmm??
Bad, bad, once off luck perhaps?

oh?? how much would an ECU test from Holden be about?

not sure Any Mechanic these days should be able to.

Mine does have the tool, Vt's are 10 years old,most mechanics should have the Gm flash tools these days any way.

gah, didn't think of that, i guess the fuel might have been dirty when it was low.. plus old filter? grrr :wax: went crazy.. maybe!

i was told to change them every 6 months i went nay no way since i did mine omg huge diference
