installing audio system???

Hi all, my bro wants me to put stereo system in his vt ss but apparently he needs an adaptor or another dash to change from factory stereo to your average mp3 player, anyone know where to get them from or tips when installing in vt? done a few installs but never in a vt. any info appreciated. thanks

so wat are u saying??..your brother wants you to put in a new HEAD UNIT whoch is single DIN?...cause i dont kno by what u mean when u say average mp3 player... Average Mp3 players are pocket sized not dash sized

or if i thenk i kno what ur thenkin, their should be 2 holes on each side of the double DIN factory head unit use a coat hanger and cut it into 4 pieces and slide each of the coat hanger pins thru each hole until it unlcliks and pull away

and as for the extra dash space under the new head unit u may wanna go jaycar, autobarn etc for a cd/ dash holder thengo dat fills that space up nicely

Like this you mean? Yes they're Draws and yes one is a cup-holder. Was about 20bucks from the Audio Joint that done the install

yeah, meant standard stereo, single din as you say. yep been searchin and the dash pocket is what i need. thanks for the tips and info guys.
