Monaro tail lights with VT boot garnish - please don't!

Are there others that hate the way some guys are putting Monaro tail lights on their VT's and keeping the factory garnish?

I am begining to see a couple of them around and they look real poxy. :rice: One time I saw a car backing out of a car park with 4- yes 4 - reverse lights!

To one guys credit, he did this mod, but had the decency to paint the whole garnish, the only thing giving it away was the key hole. I though it was a VX until I had a closer look.

So, if you're thinking of doing it, DON'T!

i painted my garnish but didnt go munro lights and kept original lights

I've seen people put clear monaro/alteza tail lights on a VT CALAIS!!! With the calais boot garnish as well!!

It looks so so so so so so so wrong...

Theres only one way in which I think it doesnt look TOO bad, If you tint the boot garnish BLACK and get those black monaro lights, then it at least matches...

But why?

I was looking at HSV clubbys for sale and came across a VT one with monaro lights with a stock garnish, not good.

Yeah, its looks horrible when people put altezza or monaro tail lights with a standard vt garnish...

Makes me wanna vomit all over the thing! It'll be an improvement...
