Unbolt the exhaust off the back of the cat and have a look inside. If it is drilled out or smashed out, get another one. It really doesn't make that much difference to flow. Having two cats is better again. If the flow is an issue get steel hi flow cats.

The cat changes the exhaust gases to less harmful ones. It's an EPA law and the penalties are quite harsh. Having no guts in it will make the exhaust sound tinny and hollow, almost raspy at certain revs.

drilling out cats, isn't that what ppl in 6cyl do to make em sound tough? where i come from it's considered a sign of fagginess if your found to have your cat drilled:thumbsup: just get it fixed before the popo are onto you.
