Yep, it'll bolt straight up....

VR VS and VT are interchangable but VX onwards are slightly different...

If u got traction control make sure the Vr has them too... other than that.. all sweet

Yes, but as far as i know it gets its data from either side of the diff about that one side is rotating faster than the other.

Someone can correct me on this... but im 95% sure so its something to look at

VR/S Are not the same as VT onwards, however, they do bolt up, but i'm not sure with how much work, not sure about going backwards tho

They run a 7.5in (i think, not sure on exact inches) centre, VT/X/Y/Z run 8.25in diffs.

There are also differences in axles, I tried VT, VX, and VY and only the VY ones fit (but i'm not sure what cars either are out of, but my diff is out of a GTO, so its a V8 one)

I have a VY GTO diff bolted onto my VX v6...

SO if that bolts onto your car and my car... a VX diff should bolt onto your car too shouldn't it?

No **** aye, Guess thats 2 less VY GTOs around haha.

When i say they are different (VR/S to VT/X/Y/Z) i mean they are physically bigger diff gears, and i would assume, housing aswell.

I don't know how different they are bolting up, but i know we tried the 3 different axles, and only the ones marked VY fit, but the other 2 could have been V6 axles, and the VY one a V8.

So take out all that rambling, yes, a VX diff will bolt up to my car the same as a VT/X/Y/Z one would.
