I purchased a set of Gel coater fibreglass engine covers and I was wanting some info on what to do next. They are gel coated on the top but the bottom is still straight fibreglass.. What would be the best thing to spray the bottom in before painting to cover the fibreglass? Will I need to coat the top or just spray straight into the gelcoat? Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers.

You should probably, sand it back lightly, do a quick layer of primer, then your color, do at least 2 decent coats, and then a clear layer on top to make it last
