my brother was driving my car (vt v6 berlina) and while he was driving all of a suddon he lost th gears and just wouldnt go anywhere?

just put it in gear now and all it does is revs? so what ya think the problem is?

id say youve either worn the bands out or the linkages have buggered up ... run in down the tranny place theyl be able to tell ya quick smart

Have you checked the fluid level? If it's too low it won't engage gears. Probably not the problem though if it happened suddenly.

i got code 73 ''pressure control solenoid current'' so can anyone tell what it is and how to fix it?

Your better off taking it to transmission specialist unless you really know what your doing. Sounds to me that the solenoid that controls the pressure needs replacing or repairing.

well i got the car back today from the tranny shop and it ended up being the pump had **** itself and thats why i got code 73 cos no fluid was getting to the solenoid.

i told him yesterday to just fix the problem and this morning i got a call back from him saying its all finished, ended up costing me $1350 cos the pric just went and put a new box in instead of fixing the problem, worse possible time as it is just before christmas and he coulda fixed it for a few hundred $ but instead he just went and did that so we had to dig into our house deposit money.

just gave me yet another reason for exactly why i refuse to use mechanics.

That sucks man. Some mechanics are ***holes.
