Hey guys,

Just wondering what you'd consider to be 'high' kilometres for a 2000 model VT II.

I'm looking at a Supercharged Berlina and half me thinks the K's are good, the other half of me thinks it may be a bit high. But I think my view on what's actually high is hindered by the fact i'm stressing my VN has high K's as it now has 174,000 on it!

So yeah, what's would sort of K's would consider to be acceptable for that model? (I'm not telling what the one I'm looking at has on it, coz I want a completely honest opinion! :p)

it all depends on the service history. if its done every 10000kms then 150,000kms would be fine. anything after that and u start getting your run of the mill usage problems. like power steering pump, bushes, brakes etc, personally i will never buy a car with over 150,000kms if i plan on having in for more than a few years.

Over 250,000km i would say.

My old VP has 312000km+ on the clock and still revs out great..

My 2000 Berlina has 147,000km and feels new:p.

I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking at was the one with the service history. (I looked at a few :p) Run of the mill usage problems don't really worry me, as well it happens to every car sooner or later. It's the more major things I'm worried about!

if your not worries about the usual wear and tear problems then 200000kms will be fine, its been said before on the forum but a guy i use to know had a vn with 400000kms on it and they would trash the crap out of it everyday, new tyres everyweek and its still going now

To me high kilometres is around the 250,000 km, that being said if the car is well looked after it should still have plenty of life left in it.

Well, so far it looks like I shouldn't be too worried bout the k's. It's got 153,000 on it, I'm just wondering if it's a good buy or not. Hmmmm...

I wouldn't be to worried about 153,000 km. If your serious about buying it, its defiently worth getting a check done, just to be sure there are no major problems.

A thorough check would be the first thing I got done. I guess it's not too bad. It works out to be about an average of 20,000 k's per year. Which is about normal I guess.
