Would appreciate if someone with a Limited Slip Diff fitted to their VZ (like the V8s) could advise if there is a diff oil specification for the LSD mentioned in the VZ Owner's manual for your car.

Thanks Sean

s/charged v6 HR Holden, s/charged v6 EH Holden,
Give your diff a birthday & get Penrite Limslip 140, plus Penrite additive, Can get from AutoBarn stores, $30 for 2 litres oil & $20 approx for vial of additive. Forget that Castrol rubbish!!!!

Thanks for the comments but I am actually after the GM spec as listed in the VZ owners manual for the LSDs if in fact GM have provided one in the VZ manual.. (It has been omitted from the VY manual).

Just for interest Penrite do Not recommend that oil you mentioned for the VX or VY or VZ LSDs. I have already spoken with them and they will only recommend a Synthetic oil - the SIN 80 - which is a fully synthetic 80-140 multigrade.

I am trying to find what GM recommend for these LSDs so I would like to see what GM has said in the VZ owner's manual if anything at all. I suspect there is nothing mentioned though.

saf-xa allready has the additive added to it, if you see the back of the bottle it mentions that and not to mix any other additive to it

Many Thanks.

The Penrite Synthetic recommended for the LSD fitted cars known as SIN 80(synthetic 80-140) also has the additive included.

I was concerned about the compatibility of the diff seals with the current formula Synthetic oils but both Castrol and Penrite have assured me that there will be no issue with the seals .

Thanks Sean
