Speakers connect to amp ... amp connects to ........ ?
"Forget Fast and Furious, I Drive Slow and Luxurious"
signal fro mh/u to amp. gets amplified then goes tyo speakers.
positive power from batt to amp.
negative power is from the body of the car.
google it. you will get better general ansers there.
Remember to disconnect your battery if you are gonna play around with wiring
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
basically as everyone has just said...........run your cables off your battery.........i have 2 amps in my boot...........i have a stinger power distributer i run one power into it, then run 2 power off that into each amp, then a ground into each amp and a trigger into each amp...........all 6 speakers run into my 720 watter amp, and i run my sub off my monoblock.............oh yeah and u gotta run RCA's from your head unit to your amp / amps..........
try this let me know how you goand if anyone can point out anything i left out or got wrong let me know

dont take this the wrong way but hooking it all up is the easy part.
nEB will you give anymore input to this thread or have your questions been answered?
also you have forgot to mention to him that you need to earth the amp it self usually.
(Screw it to steel) or do some dogdy wireing.
well i think that usually goes without saying. the wiring kits come with an earth cable but saying screw it to steel doesnt really help, or the dodgy part either. i know parts of my dash that are metallic and arent connected to the chassis/body. You need to find a clean/unpainted surface on the body for the earth. usually a good spot is the rear seat/seatbelt bolts will suffice.
Power is measured in DECIBEL

Could someone help pls. Thinking of putting an amp to run speakers and sub in my VZ sedan. Just wondering what is the best way to attatch the remote turn-on wire. I have a factory HU, should I use acc. wire or 12v output wire. (where does the 12v output wire go to?)
does the vz sedan have an electric aerial? if so use that to trigger a relay for the remote wire.
