headunit and power... most buy wiring kits which range in types and price. they include all the RCA leads and power cables to hook it up. then just run them all to where you mount it, usually in the boot.

basically as everyone has just said...........run your cables off your battery.........i have 2 amps in my boot...........i have a stinger power distributer i run one power into it, then run 2 power off that into each amp, then a ground into each amp and a trigger into each amp...........all 6 speakers run into my 720 watter amp, and i run my sub off my monoblock.............oh yeah and u gotta run RCA's from your head unit to your amp / amps..........

also you have forgot to mention to him that you need to earth the amp it self usually.
(Screw it to steel) or do some dogdy wireing.

well i think that usually goes without saying. the wiring kits come with an earth cable but saying screw it to steel doesnt really help, or the dodgy part either. i know parts of my dash that are metallic and arent connected to the chassis/body. You need to find a clean/unpainted surface on the body for the earth. usually a good spot is the rear seat/seatbelt bolts will suffice.

good map but if you wire up the like you would with a battery, you hook the positive up first and connect the negative last
