fuse blowing

my vy ss keeps blowing the indicator fuse when i put it in reverse.... anybody know why????

It's going to be a matter of working (metering) from the reverse switch on the gearbox to the rear lamps to see if there's any sad bits of wiring.. take the globes and assembly out disconnect the plug from the switch test to the body of the car. It should be open

Supplied is a wiring diagram that should help you.

have you a towbar fitted check the wiring connections and condition of the globe holders and bulbs , any recent electrical work to the car ??? alarm fitted or similar .

had a vt come into where i work one day with the exact same problem, put it in reverse and indicator fuse would blow because they share that fuse. what happened was the wiring harness going to the rear lights had been rubbing on the car body behind the boot carpet so it was shorting out. so maybe look behind the carpet in the boot on the right hand side and just have a good look at the wiring.
