you wonder why just commodores has such a bad rep.. because its full of arrogance.

the cops can eat a dick

Probably more because of people like yourself who cant refrain from tourettes like outbursts.

ps: i dont know of any cases of tyres blowing out because a tiny tiny tiny bit of rubber was shaved back
What you dont know could fill a library.

The sidewall is what gives a tyre it's main strength. Which is why if you get a flat, and drive on it, good tyre shops wont just repair the puncture and send you on your way, because the sidewall strength is compromised.

I feel like im talking to a brick wall here, simply because you feel your ability to form eloquent sentences and pay for solicitors to watch somebody check your car over for roadworthiness makes you king ding-a-ling. But at the end of the day, the cops defected your car, they're right, you're wrong, no mufflers sounds like a wet fart and isnt cool.

/thread.

got a 2.5" with no mufflers, just cat.

it sounds good, just wondering if its bad for the engine ect? back pressure, fuel economy n stuff

only answer this if you're 100% sure, ive read so much **** that isnt true because people have no clue and post anyway

Other than sounding like arse it is unlikely to damage your motor. Have some consideration for those around you though and quieten it down a bit.

im not complaining i got a defect for either of them... and no, i wouldn't argue the exhaust because its obviously over the limit. what i am saying is, which u clearly have overlooked is why its a major defect and needs a rwc rather than just a minor and just needs a quick inspection by vic roads to tick it off like my smashed tail light...

Perhaps the police officer couldn't be bothered spending half an hour picking however many defects your car had and just decided to make you get a RWC saving himself the bother.

And??? Your point is?

and no jonnoo, everyone whose heard it says it sounds great for a 6.

I wonder how your neighbours feel about it? Whilst I probably wouldn't want to say it to your face, I'd probably just call the epa and let them handle it.

.... obviously you change the walled tyres like u would a smashed tail light, then get it inspected.. it doesnt need a full rwc, cops are just being huge wankers

Whilst I have little respect for the police in general, in this case it would appear you are the wanker.

did u not look at the case study? and its a huge concern mate, ####ing huge haha

and the drone isnt that bad, plus im already use to it haha, adding a hotdog makes no difference, ive tried.

The white walls in that particular case were found not to be a concern. That has no bearing on yours what so ever. There are any number of reasons why the case study is not applicable to you.

dw guys, im a cop, ill ignore the complete bombs driving on the road to defect some walls. theres more rubber on my tyres with walls than there are on a womans, because of they're fail gutter scraping.

completely forget about that guy who stole **** from maccas coz u gotta defect me for my walls LOL. cops can go suck a dick for all i care. "its their job" they dont have to defect me, they choose to. they tried to get me on my 20" wheels which were perfectly legal and i proved em wrong so they got angry.

cops dont even know wheel laws in vic. GG

I got a fantastic idea! Next time someone askes a question on Just Commodores, lets just slam them for having a different opinion too us! Yeah! That will be ####ing awesome hey.

I'm sure alot of people here are going to find different exhaust sounds good, and others are going to think they are crap. Same goes for looks on a car. For instance, I think that the Rice burning Jap cars with Streatched tyres, look and sound ####ing terrible. But when they get posted up in automotive porn, do I go off about it and rant and rave and jump on the previous posters #### and have a jolly good time slamming some person with a different opinion to me? No (well maybe sometimes... stfu). You get the point.

Its ####ing rediculous that White Walled tyres are being defected. Its not like the side of the tyre is being cut in half! They are being shaved; as per load limit and such, its on the other side of the tyre if you really need it. Its a ####ing rediculous law, and one that should be shoved up Vic Police's ass and twisted around a few times. As per above, alot of people (lol @ women) drive around with half the side of their tyre rubbed off because they can't drive.

To answer your question: If you like the sound of it. Keep it. With a 2.5inch exhaust, I have no idea! But I don't see them affective fuel econ. Smell of unburnt fuel, and engine running rich... Could be O2 sensors... Change em anyway ya cheap bastard!

To Reitterate: Stupid ####ing Law.

OK, so I read the last post....

In short, Police don't have to know every law regarding a motor vehicle, if they think something is illegal in their opinion, then they can defect you. It is up to you to get the car inspected and proven to be legal.

i remember you guys had a huge cry about me having VS springs in my VX. goes to show how dumb you are.

SSL for a vx, are acutally VS springs... as vx-vt's lowest is SL. you guys are to quick to jump on the bandwagon and hate on people. all my mates say just commodores people have no clue and it goes to show. i ask questions here beacuse on the odd chance they get answered like the first two posts. rest was just garbage from the haters
