Yeah man, that's the one I saw, very clean for a daily vp. I've recently started working in the area, and found an engine to buy on the way home from work so had a 308 in pieces in the boot of the stato at that stage haha.

Nice work too, 12kg's has to make you feel pretty good

12kegs is a decent effort too mate, you're weren't that big of a fella that I remember either.

yeah im running after work every 2 days. been 5 months or so since i started. i can do 5km in 25.5 mins and 8km in 45mins now. i couldnt run 2 mins on day 1 lol. was a rude awakening... you putting in another 308? or converting to something else? also my daily got some old wheels with new paint on them. got sick of looking at those vp calais wheels. theyre just stockies 15x6 i had laying around.

special delivery, roped my neighbors into picking up the engine for me. gave it a final wash, pulled the flex plate off and fitted the new rear main seal. gave the balancer a lick of paint. sifting through the crs instructions trying to make sense of the starter relocation and spacers and such.

the castlemaine kit came with some genuine gm flexplate bolts. theyre meant to be torqued down in 3 passes. 15lb, 37lb, 75lb (20nm, 50nm, 100nm) in a crisscross pattern. i didnt even get past the first round of torquing and the heads for the bolts ere rounding off. i even bought a 6 sided 15mm socket piece instead of using the 12 pointed one in my tool chest. the bolts were like fkn play-doh. i binned them and ordered these. bought them from the states for half the price they go for here. as usual...
