    castor bushings/radius rod..3 hours labour?

    mechanic wants to charge me 3 hours of labour to change castor bushings/Z radius rod, is this right? He says they need to be presses out, I have a V6 VT. Thanks for your advice

    aircon, can it be cleaned from inside??

    Dirty Coolant?

    Mine looked the same, the transmission cooler (attached to side of rad) had a small crack and was leaking into the coolent. New rad from repco $240 and new coolent fixed the prob. Manifold gasket also likely.

    VT V6 putting a series 2 radiator in a series 1? yes/no? can this be done? series 2 radiator is cheaper just has two oil coolers instead of one... cheers

    drop out the blower fan and stick your hand up and find the evap, small cavity towards the front of the car, check it you can feel dirt and debris all in the coils. I did this then took a small toothbrush and sprayed as much of the coils as I could and tried to dislodge the debris. After, the...

    conclusion: dirt/hair/debris was clogging evap, a little bit of a washout made the air flow a little better, still trying to think of a way to really clean it out without taking the whole dash out

    searched all posts, could not find a method. I have a VT commodore with a dirty (lots of hair and muck) evap stopping the air flow into the cabin. I stuck a toothbrush around and got some stuff out but too small of space to work. Can reverse flush it somehow by pouring liquid in the front...

    thanks mate, I looked there but figured there was a wire mesh over it and that not many leaves would get down there, did your mate have a screen on his? I will check again, maybe put a vacuum down it!

    Can anyone tell me where the air intake flap on the heater is? (other posts talk about putting a vacuum cleaner down it to suck out leaves). My vents blow air poorly and I am trying to unclog the system...anyone got a list of places to check?

    VS Air Con..

    vaccum lines I think the others might be saying to trace back the vacuum lines from the centre console to a box(vac tank) on the left of the blower fan. There are two or three black lines that go into the box. If you run the car and unplug any of them you should hear a hissing sound...
