Swapped the switch over & still not working. Don't really want to fork out for a wiper motor if that's not the problem.

VX's fuel gauges are notorious for giving incorrect readings. My bro in law's would not start if parked on an angle with 1/3 of a tank of fuel sometimes, put fuel in & it'd go.

I've put my money down & am in the line.

Replacing cam, lifters, valve springs, pushrods, adjustable timing set, trunnion upgrade, deleting AFM & tune.

Envyous Customs have a Carplay mod for VE/VF IQ systems.

Check your brake lights are working, if the switch is dodgy it can upset things.

Sorted. Getting the Carplay mod done in a couple of weeks.

It's got IQ & dual zone aircon. I want to update it as the maps are out of date. Would like to use Carplay. What does everyone do? I can find Series 1 fascia for dual zone but not Series 2. There's a unit available but it seems to have lots of problems & bad back-up.

Got to do the final tweaks to the exhaust I fitted on my ute last weekend. Other projects are a 1980 TS250ER I've been restoring, 1992 TS185ER that's a bit modified & a GSX1100 engine for my P5 Sidecar that needs finishing.

Yep, rocker cover broken. It's a bit of a job to replace.

Sounds like rocker cover broken. To remove the plenum cover for access to the spark plugs you have to undo 6 bolts & replace the gaskets if original paper type.

Get a can of Plexus, it's a polish I use on bike screens, works good.

Buckled wheel or separated tyre. Check there's no lumps in the tread area.

Tank out. Be really careful with the fuel line connections when removing.

Check with Holden as to the correct part number to suit the engine number.

I'm a Roadrace scrutineer & you can now use 'E' rated helmets as the standards have surpassed Australian standards. Funny thing is you can't as a Wildcard entry wear an Australian standards helmet at either Moto GP or World Superbike events at Phillip Island.

My VE SS has a noise that goes away once up to operating temp.

Did they replace just the seal or the plate/seal? I've seen the gasket behind the plate leak as well.

The old light & mirror machines were Repco Replex. I remember setting the run-out by the adjusters as you spun the wheel around. Have you checked the offset of both front wheels are the same? Are the camber adjusting bolts in a similar position?

You need to fit the upgraded bracket with an extra idler pulley. Ring Holden spare parts.

You need a wide band O2 sensor & controller & there should be an input depending which Haltech ECU you have. The factory O2 sensor is only narrow band.

What size tyres are you using?

A good scantool will tell you if the fuel flow is OK as well.

You need to check the fuel pressure. Very common that the pumps stuff up.

Also check/clean the contacts of the starter relay under the bonnet near the battery.

Could be key head starting to fail. Scan & check for any codes relating to 'Slip ring failure'.

The law states the same Load Index or greater. Don't know if SS ute has lower Load Index on the tyre plackard or not.

You need to use what is listed on the tyre plackard. Load index must be the same or greater than what the vehicle was tested with for ADR.
