best way to check if a valve aint seating is to put petrol on chamber and see if it leaks through, very hard to see if it is seating just by looking. Ask the mechanic to do a TK head check, this will determine if you have combustion gases in coolant. I am a mechanic and worked on many v6...

put a set on me vr bout 6 year ago and got z bars for $75 each trade, and yerr my k frame was out a bit also.

could be injectors dripping or blocked

the throttle body will give ya to much air, maybe if ya put bigger injectors in also......but not sure

Go to bursons and get the bosch equivalent, I have fitted several to customers cars with no probs, cheaper and don't tend to suffer from the long idle probs.

What sort of car ya puttin it on? Going by the wiring diagram, it uses coil negative pulse, bit ugly. I have installed several alarms. The siren is a cheap and nasty, as it doesn't have battery backup and no bonnet switch either. Go for something that has ADR's

If ya can get someone to help you start it in the morning, put a voltmeter over the terminals and check voltage first b4 starting, then when cranking.My bet is the battery is on its way out, the starter motor only does this same thing but in reverse, when it is hot not cold. I work on forklifts...

When I said the other three flexables, I meant at each wheel on the car, cause if the piston is that jammed you will need to clamp off the other three brakes and push the jammed piston out of the caliper.

The piston slap problem was caused by Holden & ACL not doing the R&D. They tried fitting ACL's to a motor designed for american pistons, all seems to be ironed out now, but you are right, to many slappy gen 3's b4 problem fixed. make sure you disconnect positive battery lead first.

Glazing means they got to hot. You can try roughing them up with a coarse sand paper. I havn't had much experience with vented/cross drilled discs, so could be leading you astray.Good Luck

the lock mechanism only sits in the upper section of the cap, therefore "stuff" wont fall into tank, secondly the cap is sealed so therefore wont set fuel alight, have done it several times to customers cars with the same auger cap, use a cordless drill on low /variable speed, and just drill top...

I have replaced pads on cars that looked like they had plenty of meat, but the pads where glazed, and squealled. This could be your problem, try a new set of pads, I would recommend bendix, they make a pad specially designed for cop cars. Good Luck
