I would have a go at rotating one of the yokes 180 degrees as it is not correct how it is sitting at the moment, whenever I used to make shafts when I was engine reconditioning the yokes should always line up and not 90 deg offset like yours are but I did not see many factory ones...

yep if it does it in reverse it is usually drivers side, forwards is passenger side ... also while your down there check out the gearbox mount as well as this often goes unchecked

I would replace the sender anyway as the resistance readings that the gauge will operate off will more than likely be different and you run the risk of blowing your gauge if the factory one runs at a large difference to your aftermarket one Just make sure you replace the single wire sender...

yes its there in the vs, you remove the glovebox and its on the left hand side up high a small 3 pin plug there with a tag on it identifying the wires gnd/acc/+12v

sounds like bent driveshaft or crapped out uni joint to me, or slightly less possibility would be harmonic balancer / engine+gearbox mounts

take the seats out and run under the carpet if your cable is too fat to go under the trims, some people run underneath the car but this can be a bit touch and go if you dont know what you are doing

splice the wires and add in a second horn. Its pretty simple ..... or you could add in a relay usig the current horn wires as the signal feed and earth ... upto you really how you want to do it

Its simple if you like the car then recon the motor, if you want a cheap fix get anotehr on from the wreckers with a 3 month warranty ..... eitehr that or just buy a new car, I personally would say just recon it then at least you know you have a good reliable engine

Brand new pump from supercheap is $183, would take about 30 mins to change yourself, if the rack is done as you say then change the pump, you could try a 2nd hand one from wreckers as an exchange unit, or rebuild your pump for around $30 with a kit from holden

Yep it was regulator allright, went to wreckers got another one and its all good now. I was driving the 25 km to wreckers and I lost all regulation, was kind of freaky watching the voltage gauge at 18volts @ 2500rpm lol but made it ok and everything survived
