Hey guys have a sv6 vz 04. using way to much fuel. out of 50L i got 295ks. Everytime i fill up to the car will not start. Takes for ever then comes up with check powertrain but no codes are logged. Could the fuel pump be causing the bad fuel consumption as well as not starting??

prob just cause will fill it up most thursdays i think. maybe a heap of **** in the fuel tank

A guy i new had a commodore forget what model, Motor would crank but not fully turn over, was going to rebuild the whole engine. Luckly he rang RACQ and got them to check it out, Replaced the battery in the key for the imbolizer, never had a problem since.

Cant find a relay, no have not solved yet, has 5 spd gear box too. Weird thing though when it says its in third on the stick and says it in 4th on the computer when i shift down to 2 and says third on the computer. Maybe wrong pannel on the gear box unit. Any more suggestions??

yep i have a sv6 04 model. Pop your hood and look for the exhaust coming out of either side of the engine and you will see a wire going to the engine thats them, then have a look under the car in the middel you will see another two.

If you take the manifold of the car do you have to replace the gasket or can you just buy some gasket glue??

Nope. Have looked but cant find a fuse for it. Are there any fuses in side the car or is it just the box in the engine bay. Have another problem at the moment the check power train has come on.

if the 02 sensors are oxy sensors i have replaced the two at the front, im thinking its injectors cause the engine trys to crank but nothing like there is no fuel getting to it and this would explain the high fuel usuage.

Hey guys just filled my car up with fuel and the car would not start for 10 sec and then come up with check power train. Im thinking Fuel pump or maybe injectors as im not getting the best econmy about 16l/100km. Any suggetions.

are the injectors hard to replace on the sv6

dodgy brothers lol, yeah i have seen 190 written on it somewhere, think on the engine covers, and its a black manifold, I will have to check VIN number but im certin it is a sv6. Hopes so cause i bought o2 sensors for sv6 model. They have 2 at front 2 at rear.

Yeah it is def a vz sv6, has the 190 kw engine. The paddels on the steering wheel are already there. The parts i installed are the A/S Button. The wire was already there and the holder for the button. Just when you push the button nothing. I would say that if was not working and he covered it up...

i have same prob, replaced the two front o2 sensors, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned maf sensor and still using too much fuel, run some injector cleaner through the tank and same thing, now i am getting black soot on the exuast tip, so i think im going to have to take it to a shop

yeah cleaned the mAF sensor, holden check codes when they did the spark plugs, only code that was in there was key slip ring code which they told me its to do with where the key goes in not turningn correctly or something. Is there any information where i can check the ignition leads and do you...

The main reason i used it was because i have bad fuel econmy. My fuel was reading 16l -17L/ 100km and avg 24L -28L. So far i have replace fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, 2 o2 sensors in the front and still the same. I just put some injector cleaner in and its runing 21L - 24L per 100km...
