you need to speak to phreddy (search for posts by him or http://www.asr-audio.com.au/), he does a mod that puts proper preouts from the factory head unit and they work perfectly see I had line convertors with 6x9 in parcel shelf and sub, the difference in sound quality is awesome

Thanks Brycestro, appreciate the detailed response. I have found something on some US forums about a device that delays the start up of the amp. Will get down to Jaycar during the week and have a look (thanks Voltking) as to what it does exactly and how it works, will post the results.

I have been starting it with the stereo off but sometimes just forget... Is there any way of having the amps come on last/ off first? How do after market units get around this??

Pops pretty bad, fairly loud and cant be good for speakers?

Check the PS fliud, mine did that and one of the clamps was a little loose and was loosing fluid

I agree, give them written notice of your claim, give them 14 days to respond - in the letter put that if your not satisfied with the response you will make an application with the dept of fair trading. That will get them moving and if it doesn't lodge the application!!
