Hey guys just about to build up a cat back exhaust at a mates work shop for my n/a 3.0 v6 vl, I only have till 5 to knock it up so excuse me for not doing a search I thought it would be quicker posting and hopefully get some quick answers. What size piping would best suit a n/a vl? 2.25" or 2.5" I'm after a throaty sound but don't wanna lose any power, is it true that a 2.25" is better for down low torque? And the 2.5" for high end torque? Also will the 2.25" be quieter that the 2.5" ?

Cheers guys and I'm truly sorry for posting such a annoying thread but need quick answers as I only have till 5 to do it.

2 1/4 is more than enough for a standard street driven 3.0 and will probably be a little bit quieter without too much drone. If it's going to be modified in the future then maybe a 2 1/2 is the go.
