in asking the 2nd question, I'm wondering now what's the advantage of using LEDs for the tail lights. seems none to me?

The advantage is mostly cosmetic really. They look brighter and ...... prettier. However, that said, they do light up in a split second, much faster than incandescent bulbs, which might be the difference between someone being millimeters off your bumper in an emergency stop and being halfway into your boot. And they last longer than incandescent bulbs (or should, all things being equal).

Thanks everyone. Does anyone what type of bulb mount is use for the brake light that's located in the bottom of the rear glass (sedan)? thanks again

any thoughts on using red LEDs for brake light? Just wary it won't give enough light to be usable
