2 stage unlock - malfunctions and won't let me into my car :cry:

About once every couple of days, when I unlock my car only the drivers door unlocks and the rest stay deadlocked :| so I can't even pull em up with my hands.

I have tried turning 2 stage unlock, on, then off again in the options menu but still happens.

Such a pain to test as I never know when it is going to happen, but so far I have noticed that if I press the unlock button again the rest unlock.

I usually deadlock my doors (press lock twice) when leaving the car, so I am now just single locking to see if it faults...

I have an 03 VY Exec S1. With cop function turned on for the digital spedo.

My poor car..help me

Ok so it just happened again! I pressed unlock and only the drivers side comes up. I locked then unlocked this several times in a row and still only the drivers door would come up.

Left it half an hour n now its back to normal

maybe try a BCM reset, sometimes they do funny things.

Not so funny when it happens lol.

How do I do a BCM reset? Will it lose the police mode function that was turned on via the service techs at holdens?

Umm unsure what your saying but are u hitting the unlock button twice? if you only hit it once when dead locked it only brings up the drivers. Then u hit unlock again and it should unlock the rest.

Well I have 2 stage unlock turned off - so this should not happen at all.

But when it does glitch, even if I press unlock twice, sometimes it opens up the rest, sometimes it doesn't, very weird

Has this happen since the police mode?..

Maybe it's a Cop thing?.

No, had cop mode enabled about 2 months ago, and this problem has come up within the last couple of weeks.

Is very weird that it only happens to me on average once a day. N sometimes if I press the unlock key again it will unlock the rest of the doors, other times it doesn't and no one can open or unlock another door.

Mate, I have the same problem with my car (vy 2003 executive wagon) , when it started happening you could sometimes get it unlock by using the other remote, now it just about never unlocks any of the passenger doors, and it gives you hell if you dead lock it, try getting kids in the car and not been able to open the doors.

Holden tell me they will start by replacing the BCM witch will cost me $500+

But holden dealer cant say that replacing the BCM will fix the problem, so it may cost me $500 just to find out that the BCM was working fine

Hey Mick,

Unfortunately my car still does this..i just decided to put up with it!

It happens once or twice a month, but usually when i press the unlock button again it unlocks the rest of the doors.

Since I can never get it to happen when I show someone, no one knows how to fix it short of throwing money at it and hoping it goes away.

Please if anyone comes up with a solution, I would be most grateful to know!
