2010 VE Commodore International Dual Fuel LPG / UL
Hello I own a 2010 VE International Dual Fuel commodore it wasn't switching to LPG properly if at all,
I had it checked out by a LPG guy, he first though a sensor then when hooked up to the laptop the LPG comp showed low fuel rail pressure which to him indicated a bad lpg compressor, loosing pressure and not maintaining good line pressure which hen causes difficulty for the system to switch over to lpg, seems a reasonable diagnosis, so I thought about it decided to go ahead, he priced new converter at 650 new solenoid at 65 and new vapour filter at 35 and 220 labour to fit the parts and tune the system which I didnt see as unreasonable, i asked him to order the parts in and let me know when they arrive and we can set up a time for fitting, after a week and a half he hadn't answered so I txt him, asking if the parts had arrived yet and he hasn't answered this txt either nothing at all, should I ditch him

I can get the converter my self from the impco dealer for $445 How much would it cost me to have this fitted at a gas place I'm not sure but think they are located under or within the inner guard somewhere, any diagrams or photos of where its located would be helpful ( the gas converter that is) I have yet to find mine :-( which makes it hard to asses the job :-(

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It's pretty obvious that you know JS about lpg and the dangers associated with it.
My main concern is the fact that when something goes bang the fallout is often critical and or fatal.
Hey you can have a go at me but I really would not want be around when the **** hits the fan so to speak.
So sometimes there are things that should not be messed with and LPG is one of them.
Do yourself a favour and get it to a qualified specialist.

At no stage was I thinking of replacing the components myself I have now brought the components but still searching for a credible lpg guy to fit them, I am an ex mechanic and well know the legal and safety connotations of the need for a registered qualified LPG mechanic
