Seriously though I’ve got no idea how it over revved. As soon as it kicked over it went to a million RPM in a second before I Sh@t my undies.
I’ll have to look for vacuum tomorrow.

Fixed it!!

This engine is in the car that is my Avatar, an FC 1959 - the throttle cable was slightly pulled AND the vacuum pipes on the back and front were off. Runs well now although i can hear a knock now Funny as car enthusiasts we are always chasing our tails.
