Last night I was filling up my car as my petrol alert light was on, I pumped in 35 litres or so which was made up by the $45 I was going to pay for the petrol, it kept doing that annoying clicking when the cars full and my friends were laughing at how little it took to fill up. My mate's tank was 1/4 full already and he pumped in $76 worth of petrol.. It's been like that for as long as I can remember just thought I'd see if anyone would have any ideas of why it'd only hold that much?

Did my tank shrink? :(

The tank capacity is 75 litres. Must be a problem with the sender or guage.

have to agree it will be your sensor that is stuffed or the fuel gauge switch on the back of dash.

There's been quite a few idiots like that of late..

BTW, Holden were replacing fuel pump modules under a statutory warranty a few months ago. Maybe enquire at your Holden dealer if they'll do it for you.. There was a recall on the fuel pumps, they replaced it for free in my VX..

It could mean they'll have a poke around for free..
