i did some research a while back and thats a myth bangers, both workshop manuals say 53 for both vl and skyline

Are you running premium unleaded? because if your not it will make no difference and can even cause detonation advancing it with reg unleaded.

Are you talking about ignition timing or cam timing? Fuel has nil effect on the later...
