Hi I have an auto VZ Equipe, really wish it was a manaual but fell in love with it due to good condition and low KM's. Ive tried to find some information regarding conversion but havnt found any. I was wondering if anyone with the technical know-how or have previously done a fully working conversion can tell me how much it would cost roughly?
And yes I have done a search on these forums, but its all posts on people asking similar questions with no real answers.

Thanks!

you would need,
the gearbox, diff, clutch, pedal box, master cylinder, possibly the tailshaft
gearknob, gear boot, tune or bcm from a manual, various sensors.... and probably a few other things
at the end of the day its your money but........

you really are better off just finding a manual sv6 and driving that

VR SII Exec.
You wouldnt need a new diff just a tailshaft. And a new Ecu and loom not bcm.
Ashbox is right. The list of things that need to be changed is long and on a later moodel commodore its pricey.
For the money and trouble you'd be better off buying a manual sv6.

yeah the only reason i mentioned the diff, is that the manual and autos run different ratios

2.86:1 for the manual and 3.08:1 for the auto..
I agree with everyone else, Just sell your car when you have to money for the conversion, and just buy a manual VZ.

Yeah i guess after weighing up the possible costs associated with a conversion, it would be cheaper to buy a sv6 manual...
I did see Andyman's wagon, wanted his opinion in the conversion after reading his topic, but oh well.
