Autometer Speedometer using factory speed spender?

Just wondering if I installed a autometer electrical speedometer in my vr 5 litre t5, will the holden Hall effect sender work with the autometer gauge? Or will I need to put a autometer Hall effect sender in?

hook it to the purple wire from the vss to ecu at the ecu or directly to the speedo wire allready going to the dash cluster

Yeah I know that but will I need the autometer sender or will the gauge be compatible with the factory t5 sender? Thanks

will work with both 3 wire t5 sensor and auto 2 wire sender
