Average fuel economy

This is on a VX with a few mods so it probably does need the tune tweaking a bit.

Ve sv6 Ute manual gets around 13.1l/100kms in the city and 7-8l/100kms on the highway!!

Looked at my current figures on my MY08 SV6 (LY7 engine). Avg speed 49.4km/h at 9.8l/100km. Idle uses 1.2l/h once warm (a/c off, didn't think to check with it on). Only things done to it are an Airhammer filter and plenum insulator (no tune). Bugger all time sitting stuck in traffic. Always use Optimax 98 fuel. Looking at fuel usage when I did the mods, my standard driving at the time was 11.6l/100km before and 10.6l/100km after. Can't remember the avg speed though.

The 9.8L/100 is becasue of your average speed.
Do you do alot of highway driving or did you reset tje trip computer.

I drive in Sydney and my average speed is 23-24KM/H and get 13/13.5L/100.

Was just responding to cwill624's post. Well lets just say I 'average' 8.0l/100kms on a regular 700km round trip at highway speed. Don't drive in the city so cant comment.
