i got my alternator replaced today but now the battery goes flat within 30min...seems to only do it when i use the central locking...and it wont jump start unless i put the negative jumper cable on a metal part of the motor..s o :

what could be causeing the battery to be going flat so quick?
and could it be the the central locking or something like the earth wire from the battery not being earthed causing an issue?

p.s i got the alternator replaced due to it burning out...eg electrical burning smell

For it to be draining that fast you must get a big spark when you reconnect the terminals at the battery....make sure the heavy red alt wire isnt burnt somewhere you cant see and is touching the metal part of the motor......before the the alternator change did you have this drama?....maybe new alternator has a fault in it too or suppressor (small black box on back of alternator secured by small pk screw with small black wire coming out of it) on alternator isnt faulty or the actual wire or lug shorted to surrounding metal?
