Ok no idea what is going on I only have 6 pulleys and my belt seems like it is too long. Yet the belt is the same length as the one that came off. Anyone tell me how to rout this as the way in the owners and workshop manual won't work???

Thanks Wozza the real photo made it easy. Both manuals I have say there should be 8 pulleys on mine, because it has aircon. Someone messed up when the printing was done because the way it goes on is not the same as in the owners manual or the Max Ellery's.

I think you are confusing the models as the VR is different to the VS.

My VR Max Ellery's manual and the owners manual had the same diagram. That's plain stupid if they have put a diagram of the VS routing and pulley system. No wonder the belt was appearing too long I didn't have the extra pulleys the VS must have. What ever happened to the stickers on top of the panel where the rad goes?? Would have been easy then.

Yepp the bottom diagram is the exact one in my owners manual and my workshop manual. I had no hope until Wozza posted the link to the same or similar photo you uploaded.

Think I have worked out the problem with my owners manual...... It's out of a 99 VS... Not even the right manual for my car... That manual is now all but useless to me I suspect??

I'll try the wreckers to see if they have a VR ute one. My owners manual even says ute on the front. But on the inside is where it says 99 VS....
