Hey guys, I know nothing about tyres so really need some help. What are the best tyres out there that are around 1k for all fitted. I drive a 09 Holden calais.

I've been told the bridgestone turanza serenity plus are the best bridgestone and I got quoted 904 dollars fitted. Are these good? I've read michelin pilot sport 4 is good but not sure what's better. I can't seem to find ps4 only ps5 so would be them not the ps4. Also are turanza better than the michelin primacy 3?

The ones on the car are size 225/55r17

One person will say Bridgestones are the bees knees, and the next will say they wouldn't put them on their push bike...

Same applies with every other tyre on the market....

I know I'm not much help. but that's what you'll get asking this sort of question

I could be wrong, but I don't think the pilot sports will come within the budget.
Does that serenity plus have a 50,000km life guarantee? That sounds pretty good to me!

The factory Turanzas on my VF Calais lasted 60,000Ks. They are a bit of a harsher ride than the Michelin pilot sport 4’s that I replaced them with, which have now done 25,000Ks, although I don’t think they will last as long as the Turanzas.

Probably the first question to answer is what do you expect from the car/tyres? Daily driver or sporty drive/enthusiastic type use?

I've got Goodrides on my VE and some of the time they work just fine.

Oh by the way, my wheel size is 245/40 R19. The wear factor may make a difference on different wheel sizes.

And as immortality suggests, it may depend on your style of driving. My wife has done most of the Kms in our car and she drives fairly sedately.
