If 15K is too long then why isn't the GMH schedule 10K? Do you have access to data that Holden doesn't publish? As stated the car now has 275K and runs as good as ever. If it was "stuffed internally" I would have one or more of
- burning more than half a litre every change
- Using more than 8.9 L / 100 K
- Seeing bits of metal in on the sump plug
As I said before, I've been using this oil in every car I've owned for 20 years and never put a spanner on an engine other than routine maintenance. Why spend more than you have to?
If I was driving it hard then I would go for more frequent changes, just don't see the need with the use that it gets. I'll get back to you when the car crosses 400K.
