+1 for skipping past it. Keep looking. Took me almost a month to find mine.

Hey guys

looks like i've found my new ride
was driving around today n pulled upto a caryard, had a look at a vx ss, as i was leaving i looked over at another car yard and noticed a big fat V8 sign on what looked like a vy.
so i went and inspected it, was a nice clean vy sv8, 2003, 130,000km on the clock, mint interior, 1 owner, full service history every 5,000km.

slightly over my budget but for the condition and low km its awesome, drove like a new car!
hopefully will be in my driveway by tomorrow arvo :D

Mind telling me how much it was? I bought a VY SV8 (6sp manual), with SS kit and SS cluster, with 50,000km on it Nov. last year for $15k. I've got it to 80,000km now and just put in a heavy duty clutch. Thinking maybe of selling it next year sometime. Mate of mine sold his SS with about 90,000km for 19k not too long ago, so hoping to get around that mark with new clutch and being a manual as I haven't found many around here..

$19K, really? I just paid $10K for a VY SS Series 2 in very good condition, red leather, manual etc. 170,000 km so a little km higher then that, but I couldn't justify 9 grand being worth that difference in KM.

VY SS
Cars seem more expensive in SA....I paid 14k for my 2002 VY SS, hothouse green, manual, leather only 112,000kms..... I spent months looking and couldnt find anything with all the goodies. Even now I cant find another like mine for the price. See them online for 17-20k. 10.5k for a sv8 in SA with 138,000kms, full service history is good, buy it. Mate paid 12k for his couple of months ago and his has done 190,000km.
