11:1 will be fine with alloy heads. If you were running cast iron heads, then i wouldn't go any higher than 10.5:1.

And must I use only BP98 ? ( I live near a Mobil petrol station so do Mobil make a fuel that would be OK ? )

A mate of mine has run 11.2:1 no worries. Any good 98 will do. I use bp as its close by also and apparently at the upper end of 98. True or not I don't know.

Worse case a drop of octane booster will fix it.

I've got 10.4:1, that's all I could go without opening up the bottom end. Would have liked more.

Work out what cam/intake u need to achieve you desired goals and then build the motor and comp to suit.

didnt u say 11.0:1 is too much for street in an earlier post??....... its pretty much standard when runnin a larger cam setup with cast heads on pump98!
now your saying 10.5:1 is wimpy.....do u know what your on about??
bp98, Vpower and vortex are all up round the 98

Also, yes that guy did say that 11:1 is a lot for the street, now he's saying i'm a wimp for saying 10.5:1 is the most i'd run on cast iron heads. Go figure?

BTW, all this 11.2:1 comp talk is coming from a person who has to ask for instructions to wire up an electric water pump...
