Wow that link was so useful. I contaced GSLrally and he is supplying practacly everthing I need including pads and discs f&r. Im going a head with the camaro caliper. Having to ream out the nuckle is not much of a problem for me. One thing I am a little confused with still is if you need to used brakets for the rear caliper when using a hsv style rear rotors?
Yeah, i've done a bit of research on the pros/cons for this I I just went through it all. Just waiting on discs etc to arrive before fitting up.
Re: rear brackets, you don't for the CTS-V. I'm pretty sure you don't for the chev calipers as the HSV rotor is expensive compared to what they can get in the US, plus they have to trim around 4mm of pad... but with the bracket they can go a bigger rotor and no trim of the pad... might be wrong, been a while since I looked into chev caliper so can't quiet remember.
Drilling out the knuckle, and the possibility of the e-brake shoe busting down the track meaning weeks of waiting for a replacement (happened to a few in the states) means I was turned off these... plus the fact they have "chevrolet" writen on the caliper was too much of a wannk factor for me (sorry to offend if that's your thing!). If I was willing to drill out the knuckle, I would have gone the '10 CTS-V 6 piston fronts for a little more... see here!: w w w .camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71401
